Rosie Bannister

Rosie was a member of the Salvation Army and was a “reformed” character. The Temperance Movement was strong, in the town and closely linked to church and chapel, “we would be told a pure God fearing non boozer had shown he could thread ten needles whilst the boozer was still trying to pick the needle up”.
